For Elizabeth
For Elizabeth Jewelry (FEJ) was born out of my desire to advocate through fashion. FEJ is a semi-fine jewelry line dedicated to raising funds for minority cancer research and awareness around the high mortality rates of black Americans afflicted by cancer. Since the start of COVID-19, donations to research have been low, making funding increasingly competitive. I wanted to use my platform as a medium for solving this issue.
This line is dedicated to my late sister, Kelly Elizabeth Lyn Daniels, who was a nearly 10-year survivor of stage-4 Hodgkin’s Disease, a type of Lymphoma, modeling pieces after the legacy of strength, hope, and virtue she left for me to follow. FEJ is a partner of the American Cancer Society with partial proceeds donated to its mission to advance minority health.
Thank you for being #CuteForACause and supporting For Elizabeth Jewelry!
"The American Cancer Society's mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world
without cancer. For all people. No matter what.
The impact of COVID-19 has changed the way we are able to fight back. With current trends, our ability
to fund cancer research could be reduced by 50% in 2020 – our lowest investment this century. Millions
in cancer research could go unfunded. 1.4M calls could go unanswered. Nearly 500,000 patients could
go without a free ride or place to stay while receiving treatment. That is what could be at stake this year
alone.
There is no time to wait. We must be bolder, braver, and stronger than ever before.
Thanks to individuals like you that continue to fight by our side, we will continue to #SaveLives."
